This page was designed to assist the E-Team with any area that may be a challenge. Below we have listed the
skeleton, help verses, the acronyms and links to helpful sites. Here we have posted verses that will assist with informing
the lost about hell, encouragement to go and share, as well as verses to assist with our call. If there is
anything you think could be added to this site as a whole or just this page, please send an email through the

SIN - Lawlessness
(1 John 3:4)
or transgression of God's will, either by omitting to do what God's law requires or by doing what it forbids.
The transgression can occur in thought
(1 John 3:15),
word (Matt. 5:22),
or deed (Rom. 1:32).
In archery sin is missing the bull's eye, the very center of the target, the mark of perfection. In Christianity,
the mark of perfection is Christ, and we miss that target it is sin.
REPENTANCE - A turning away from sin, disobedience, or rebellion
and turning back to God
(Matt. 9:13; Luke 5:32).
In a more general sense, repentance means a change of mind or a feeling of remorse or regret for past conduct
(Matt. 27:3).
True repentance is a "godly sorrow" for sin, an act of no longer living, loving and serving yourself, but living,
loving and serving God. This type of repentance leads to a fundamental change in a person's relationship with God.
LUST - Desire for what is forbidden; an obsessive sexual craving.
Although there are legitimate desires for which God makes provision
(Deut. 12:15, 20-21),
lust refers to the desire for things that are contrary to the will of God. The "lust after evil things"
(1 Cor. 10:6)
of the Israelites in the wilderness serves as an example of the lust that should be avoided by Christians.
Christians are able to resist lust through the power of the Holy Spirit. The flesh, with its passions and lusts, is to be crucified
(Gal. 5:24; Titus 2:12).
RIGHTEOUS - Just, upright, correct, good, and lawful in conduct and character.
Righteous comes from the root word "straight". The Bible says none are righteous or good, except God (Psalm 14:3; Psalm 53:3; Rom. 3:10).
John 5:28-29 - “Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice [29] and will come out – the ones who have done what is good to the resurrection resulting in life, and the ones who have done what is evil to the resurrection resulting in condemnation.
Jude 7 - just as Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.
Jude 12-13 - These are the men who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; [13] wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever.
Luke 16:19-28 - (Lazarus and the Rich Man) "Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day. [20] "And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores, [21] and longing to be fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man's table; besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores. [22] "Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. [23] "In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] "And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.' [25] "But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. [26] 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.' [27] "And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father's house—[28] for I have five brothers--in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'
Universalism – All are eternally saved. Answer: It denies the truth of salvation through Christ which means that a person decides to either trust in Christ or else he/she rejects Christ and goes to hell (John 3:16; 3:36).
Annihilationism – Hell means a person dies like an animal – ceases to exist. Answer: It denies the resurrection of the unsaved (John 5:28, etc. – see above). It denies conscious torment (see above).
Hell is too severe a punishment for man’s sin. Response: God is holy-perfect (1 Pet. 1:14-15).
Sin is willful opposition to God our creator (Rom. 1:18-32).
Our sin does merit hell (Rom. 1:32; Rom. 2:2,5-6).
What is unfair and amazing is that Christ died for our sin and freely offers salvation to all (Rom. 2:4; Rom. 3:22-24; Rom. 4:7-8; Rom. 5:8-9).
The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
(Rom. 3:23).
That means that your sins have caused a separation between you and God
(Isa. 59:2) and the result is death
(Rom. 6:23) and wrath
(Eph. 2:3).
The only way to be saved from the wrath of God, is to be saved from it by faith in Christ
(Eph. 2:8-9;
Rom. 5:1).
You must trust in what Jesus did on the cross to forgive you of your sins and not trust anything else, not even your own sincerity or works.
It is Jesus and only Jesus who can turn away the righteous judgment of God upon the sinner.
